Three Roads to Oaxaca
Written by Evan Gaustad Story by Spencer J Brewer
Based on a True Story

Austin, 1975: Three young hippies set out on an adventure hitchhiking separately to Oaxaca. After excursions of life-affirming experiences and brushes with death, they find something they didn’t know they were looking for… themselves.
Three Roads to Oaxaca is a true story set in 1975. We follow three carefree hippies in their 20s, Michael, Leslie, and Thomas, as they ditch responsibility in favor of freedom, each taking different routes hitchhiking from Austin to Oaxaca. The journeys involve run-ins with federales, hallucinogenic sojourns, encounters with miraculous strangers, and episodes that make each traveler question their own mortality and reason for being. A coming of age story from a bygone era, Three Roads to Oaxaca shows how the right journey at the right moment can change your life forever.
